Before you leap...



The most frustrating thing about the UN Security Council would be if they do get the resolution over a "capricious" veto and just go ahead. This will increase the power of the permanent non-western majority on the Security Council who will no longer have to worry about a British or American veto when voting on, oh I don't know, Israel. From the point of view of national sovereignty vs international "legitimacy" this is the worst possible loss for sovereignty.

This is precisely what Britain fights against in the EU council of ministers.
